       The dollar has advanced in forex trading markets today (August 28th), making gains against the majority of its peers.

      This comes after data released yesterday showed that US consumer sentiment unexpectedly rose this month, while it was also revealed that house prices continued to increase in June.
      美国昨天公布的数据显示美国8月消费者信心指数意外上涨，同时美国6月房屋价格持续增加，受此影响，美元上涨。

      As a result, speculation has begun to mount once more that the Federal Reserve will begin to reduce its monetary stimulus at its next policy meeting in September.

      Such a move would result in drastically different policies being undertaken by the US and Japanese central banks and this potential divergence has caused the yen to weaken against the greenback for the first time this week. The dollar was 0.45 per cent up at 97.47 yen as of 09:15 BST.

      Sentiment among investors continues to be affected by the potential US-led military action in Syria. American vice-president Joe Biden said overnight that there is "no doubt" the Syrian government used chemical weapons in a suburb of Damascus last week.
